i know it's been awhile since i've last updated.
now i'm getting a little lazy to update since uni is in full swing. mid sems are already here. i've just had my first paper today. MCQ, 40 questions, 30%. cost accounting. it went pretty ok. i'm just worried i don't get high scores.
well, i figured instead of telling you what's been happening to me on a day to day basis, i'll just update on any special events that i can recall.
we've been having our regular tau huay sessions at sunnybank and our usual dinners together. besides, we've had so much studying to do that we try not to meet up so often, the six of us that is.
oh yes, and jonathan came with his two friends for a holiday and to visit us! haha. vanessa and i were tour guides. alright, i'll fill you in on this. Jonathan arrived on the 22nd of march, Sunday with both his friends, samantha and lionel. they came to my place for a bbq and to stay for the night. the next morning, i followed them to the car rental in the valley to collect their car. then we went to QU books to get vanessa's textbooks before getting water at the supermarket and head back to get the other two sleepyheads. then the four of them left for the coast. on wednesday night, they had to send vanessa back cos she had a test the following day and then i returned with them to the coast to be with them on thursday. so we went to harbourtown on wednesday before heading to eagle farm to have dinner at portside wharf. we had fish and chips! yummm... and then we had a crazy photo session by the brisbane river. we were doing all sorts of silly things and poses for the camera. it was a great time i must say. spent a great deal of time before it was home sweet home.
friday... we were on our way to the ferry terminal to drop the three holidayers for them to go to tangalooma.. however.... on our way there.... something happened... something unfortute... sighh.... a silly taxi, thanks to the car in front actually - who failed to signal left before turning and took a very slow turn - rammed into the back of our car. then the whole drama began. we still went ahead to try and catch the ferry. but realised the terminal that we went to only took passengers with cars because they dropped them off at the tangalooma wrecks which does not permit persons walking on the beach... soooo... no choice... we turned back and headed back to vanessa's place to meet stanley to solve the car issue. so the whole day was at that, trying to solve the car issue.
then we did dinner in the city on stanley's treat. we went to cyber city, a hong kong cafe in fortitude valley. the food was pretty decent. after that we went back to get our passports before heading to the treasury casino in the city. jon and vanessa gambled on blackjack and won 10 and 15bucks respectively. not bad. haha. we gave pancake manors a miss so the twins, daisy and jolene went there on their own. after that we dropped sam and lionel back at my place before we went out to vanessa's. intention was to meet stanley but he wasn't home so we just hung out for a bit then fell asleep.
stan came back after 4.30am and then i had a chat with him. so i practically didn't sleep the whole night. we were supposed to get up at 5.30am to go back to my place to get ready and to meet up with the other two. so stan waited for jon to wake up to talk to him for a bit before he went to bed and we went off. this time we went to the correct ferry terminal but when we got there, realised that the ferry will not get back in time for jon to meet up with stan so jon had to give it a miss while the other two went ahead. then we went back to the manors to pick daisy and jolene up and head over to west end markets to meet the twins for our groceries.
when we got there, we bought our veggies and fruits and then had some breakfast. haha. cinnamon rolls again thanks to jolene. but it's nice. :) then it was off to IKEA! yayy! they were having a clearance sale so just nice. went to get some stuff. but i regret not buying a table. oh wells. maybe next time. and the meat balls are damn shiok! yummmm....
had lunch at ikea before heading back home. then jon and vanessa went off to nua at van's place and settle the car stuff later in the afternoon. i slept the whole afternoon away until they got back in the evening before we had dinner and then vanessa and i sent them off to the airport with david's car. then it was bye bye....... we'll miss you jon! =)
well... besides from that little short time of fun, i've either at home or at uni or studying. :) yesterday i went to play badminton with vanessa, agustus and stan and now i'm aching all over. hahaha. oh and i went to club last night. an experience. for once i paid zilch! haha. felt so pampered. but i didn't drink much since i had a test today. did pancakes for supper before coming back. finally seeing more life in brisbane, not that there's much to see anyways. haha.
i'm really looking forward to plan a trip to sydney. really really looking forward.... anyone interested?!?!!
