this is the midexam period and it sure is no fun! lots of studying and stressing out! i'm so glad that i'm done with 3 papers and my next paper is 2 weeks away! lots of time to prepare! yay!
anyhows, just some updates. last sunday i went to church with jolene, victor and agus! after that we picked vanessa up and went to sunnybank for dim sum brunch. the dim sum was not too bad... the ambience was nice. like a super atas restaurant. BUTBUTBUT! the tables were those lousy foldable tables. haha. lame. anyways, after brunch we went grocery shopping at coles.
and then history was made! we took a trolley and entered the supermarket. first stop, vegetables. we were grabbing veggies like nobody's business. and guess what's next? this asian lady walked up to us and asked us if we had took her trolley. and obviously not?! we took our own. and then she got frustrated and still thought that we had took her trolley. then she called her hubby. and then she realised that it was him who had rolled her trolley away. ok. so end of story. we continued our grocery shopping.
next stop, bakery section. oooo.. we see her again. she commented rather loudly for our ears to ear "I f***ing hate Singaporeans. They're so RUDE!" then her hubby replied, "Must you say it so loud?" then she continued, "I don't f***ing care. I want them to hear it!"
this was when vanessa got damn hot... then she just retorted, "look who's being rude?" and she just walked in opposite direction. nownownow... that lady wasn't happy. so she walked back towards vanessa and started hurling abuses at her. she said, "so are you admitting that you are singaporean and you are rude?!" then vanessa got damn angry already. i can't remember what she replied her but she was damn bloody angry. then the psychopath kept saying "you students come here and ruin our lives!" like HUHH?! what the hell did we do to her man? then she said "we are resident here. we hae our rights!" like what the hell then as international students we don't have our rights?!
anyways, she made heaps of groundless accusations and we were just damn annoyed. i butt in and said "you're an immigrant yourself!" then she just said "fuck you!" and walked off. that was when van said "fuck you too!" haha.
then we continued in SHOCK and ASTONISHMENT. it's like how amazing can it be? being verbally mugged by a FELLOW ASIAN. jeez. i wouldn't kick a big fuss if it was a caucasian although that doesn't give them a right to be racist and shit. think about it man. we're the ones that come and contribute to their economy. paying heaps of money on our tuition fees and renting places at disgustingly inflated prices. we keep the aussie economy going damn it. so what if you're PR? we can get our PR anytime also. does that mean that only residents can live in australia? then why does you govt want to attract tourists and students? shut you trap biatch. and we're not useless bums like you who have to come halfway across the world in search of a "better standard of living" because of your lowly qualifications.
anyways, we continued our shopping and was pretty annoyed. and then we were wondering where agus has gone... we wanted to tell him the whole story. and then he appeared with his groceries... and before we could tell him the whole story, we see that lady again at the other end of the aisle. what luck man. piss off bitch! and guess what? she stares, we stared... and we walked off. andandand.. it doesn't stop. she walks up to us and says "why are you walking away?" so then we stopped and waited for her to come towards us. she was pointing at one of us (can't remember who) but as she was halfway up the aisle, she pointed at victor and said, "if i had a gun now i'd shoot you!" and then van asked "ooooh you have a gun?!" then she replied "yes, i have a gun! and i'll shoot you! you want to come to my house and take my gun?!"
that was when we were damn taken aback. then we threatened with the police. and then she was like "let's go. i'm not afraid. you think i'm afraid..? let's go!" but before going she almost attacked vanessa as we were retorting a lot. but vanessa held back a little already because it really wasn't worth it to argue with a mentally unsound lady. anyways, victor and gus tried to pull those two women apart and then victor tried to calm that lady down. but she was all fired up it was difficult. so victor walked with the couple "in search of a police station".
we walked off and left victor to them. as they proceeded to the check our counter, victor asked for the manager and asked for a copy of the tape for the security cameras. then the lady asked "why are we stopping? aren't we going to the police?" then victor said, "before we go i want the tape for the cameras" this was when she started to chicken out! haha. she knew she was at fault. so she told her hubby "darl, let's go. i think we've had enough" then victor replied "are you running away?" then she said, "no? i'm not running away". but she just kept walking off. the store manager wanted to give chase but victor stopped him and asked him to let it go.
what a scene i swear! how lucky could we get huhh?!
anyways, the night before my paper yesterday, i was studying in the library and i felt it was really condusive. only at the cubicles in the quiet zone. anywhere else was just disaster. however, the library closes at 8pm. so i had to move out of there by then. oh gus came to join me after his class at around 6. then before 8 we went off to the BEL computer labs to continue there. van came around 9 with food for us and we studied thru till 1am. MUGGERS FOR LIFE. and then the walk home was quite chilly. and all of us was getting grumpy from being sleepy and stressed. heh.

well the paper was pretty alright. a little confusing but i guess i managed quite well. went home after the paper to collect the slip of paper to go collect my parcel from the post office at toowong. came online for a bit and then rushed to catch the bus. after collecting my parcel from the post office, felt too lazy to walk into the mall to get groceries and stuff so i just went home. on the bus on the way home, i saw a rainbow! and then that was when i decided to whip out my camera and snap some shots. sweet. the rainbow was so defined that it felt like there was 8 colours to it! it was beautiful. and when i stepped out of the bus, i took MORE photos of the rainbow. and guess what? it was a FULL RAINBOW. it was magnificently beautiful! the art of nature. :) made my day. to top it all off, there was ANOTHER rainbow on top of it, albeit more feint. i guess that was a good end to a stressful ordeal huh? =D the little things that cheer you up.

now it's back to the books and getting a grip of myself! getting up to date with all the lectures and tutorials before i start freaking out! heh. alrighties. that's about it.Update! Easter Break!
Easter Break has been A BLAST so far.
It all started off with a nuah-ing session right after my paper on Thursday.
GOOD FRIDAY
woke up around 2ish cos I slept really late the night before and then went to church at around 2.45pm for mass at 3pm. Mass was supper chop chop! like express train. oh yeah. victor and jolene were with me. It was victor's first time to that church and he hasn't been to church for awhile so i dragged him along. Also because he has a car lah! so shiok! no need to climb hill! ;D yay! after that we went to the toowong korean mart to buy some stuff and then it was home sweet home. victor asked me along to one of his friend's place for a party that night but then the twins were gonna come over together with vanessa for dinner so i had to cancel on him!
dinner was another bullet train.. we had to cook and eat so fast because we were going to catch a movie at indooroopilly at 7.15pm! haha. and we left the house at like 7.10pm i think! amazing. daniel drove again and it was zoom-zoom to get there. rushed to buy the tickets and into the cinema we went, wait wrong turn, the other side guys!, to watch pink panther 2! it was a hilarious movie i swear! i totally enjoyed myself. "weet!" you guys sould go watch it! ;D;D;D
when the movie ended daniel suggested to stay on and watch the next movie! hahaha. and then someone suggested to seriously go buy tickets to watch 17 again. hahaha. but we didn't la. then we went over to vanessa's place to chill out! they put on a dvd but i so wasn't watching. was on the computer most of the time. and eating the nuts and fruits. hahahas. daniel was just playing the guitar practically the whole night for us to appreciate. not bad, boy..
went home only at around 2 in the morning. :P
Saturday night was off the Warren St! Pot Luck party at the ACS boys' place. they had tonnes of drinks and food that was simply delicious. I didn't drink much. Was simply people watching and soaking in the atmosphere. It was crazy how Raj downed 5 absinthe shots, 1 whiskey shot and a bottle of beer. It was total madness! Oh by the way, absinthe can hardly be found in Singapore and is a banned drink in many countries. try googling it. It tastes like crap and has the same alcohol percentage as bacardi 151. yup. so that makes it 70%. Raj was such a sport! really took my hat off to him!
Anyways, made some friends, talked for a bit and just lazed around. When people started puking, we left their place. The boys are really nice people though. Fun people who simply party too much, smoke too much and drink too much. haha. oh... and they don't listen to rnb. haha. they listen to trance, house, techno, electronica and stuff. :) different.
SUNDAY! EASTER SUNDAY!
Went to church in the morning with Jolene and Victor! :) Went early enough to get a seat. yup! there was only one mass that day so the church was quite packed. Then again, it isn't as packed as what you'd see in Singapore churches.
After church we went to pick Vanessa up and went to the valley for branch as some chinese grocery shopping. i had roast chicken, roast duck and chicken with noodles. yummy! it tasted really good. like authentic chinese food for once! oh and the chilli was quite power! haha. after that we went to yuen's to get our chinese groceries. then it was home sweet home. :)
at night, van and i went to la dolce vita at milton together with the warren brothers. it's a cafe with an eiffel tower erected in the centre of it. pretty cool place to chill out and hang out. the beverages are pretty awesome too! must go back there again. it was one emo session and just rotting at the cafe.
MONDAY!
daniel dropped david off to my place in the morning before he went to movie world with 4 other girls. hahaha. the thorn among the roses. i figured he got sick of hanging around the girls with his brother so he was ready to take on the challenge of having all 4 to himself! haha. well it's his law friend and her friends.
david and i were supposed to go to the uni library to study but then it was raining and there weren't available rooms in the library so we just decided to study at my place. after like 2-3 chapters of studying, i went to take 2 hours nap... before waking up abruptly and realising that i was supposed to cook lunch and david must have been starving (that boy knew how to eat cereal!) haha. so i cooked mee sua soup! perfect for a cold rainy day. ahhh. simply satisfying.
after that it was back to the books. until i just couldn't study anymore. so then it was switch on the computer and use use use. heh. then i started preparing dinner as well...
after dinner was supposed to study again but simply couldn't find the energy/mood to so just lazed around till daniel came back. haha. daisy, jolene, david and i were just lazing in my room and checking things out on the computer. until he came in... hahaha.
the boys stayed over that night because we were going to the coast early in the morning the next day so in order to make things easier, the stayed over. we didn't sleep till really late because we were just hanging out for a bit and some of us did some packing too. and then i was online talking to people and i only slept at like 3? =/
TUESDAY!
finally! the day has arrived for all six of us to venture to the coast! yummm... first things first. load all bags into the car and head towards the brisbane airport to collect our rental car. when we got to the airport, everyone got off except daniel because he was heading back to get vanessa and two of his friends. daniel would pick them up and head straight to harbourtown at biggera waters. daisy, jolene, david and i went to pick up the rental car. when we got to the airport, we realised that east coast car rental did not have a booth at the airport. so we checked with the information counter and they asked us to look up east coast car rental's number by the side on the information board. called them up and then they said they'll come and pick us up at the bus bay in 10 mins. so we walked to the bus bay to wait for them. they sent a bus to pick the four of us up. then it was off to nudgee where their office location and fleet of cars were.
did the paperwork and then collected the car! a manual hyundai getz was what we got. oh yeah. the whole fleet of cars that they have were WHITE! zzz. appears to be their coporate image. their office floor tiles were white. so were their walls and their uniforms! oh wells. none of my business.
after a big detour, we were finally on the roads and heading towards biggera waters! we were just slightly behind daniel's car and so we wasted no time in shopping at harbourtown. some of them did some massive shopping but i didn't quite shop that much. wasn't much for me to buy. weren't all too cheap i felt. heh. i still love shopping at the outlets in sacramento. =D
ohhh and the sushi roll at harbourtown is simpy the best. LOVE IT!
when we were done, we headed straight to pacific fair to have lunch and to continue to shopping. i felt pacific fair was a better place to shop but i didn't see much to buy as well. haha. BUDGET. :) then again, i have my trademark meal whenever i visit pacific fair. that had to be oporto's bondi burger! yummm.. i just feel the sauce tastes like chilli crab. absolute nostalgia. ahhh...
after the shopping at pacific fair, it was time for check-in at the apartment! we got the best sea view unit on the 11th floor! the view was simply SPECTACULAR and the unit was well furnished and well maintained. better than the one that jon and friends got. it was the same apartments.
we rested for a bit and did some unpacking, had a nice shower (most of us), dressed up and then it was dinner time at the hard rock cafe! awesome dawsome! it was a good 45min wait that was well worth it! the food was yummy, the company was great!
and then jason came and surprised me at the restaurant. i was supposed to meet him after but he came up to surprise me instead! yayy! i haven't seen him for so so so long. this godbrother of mine is really damn sweet. haha. back in sec 3 we had this social studies project to submit and as usual lah... last minute work. and then my printer just didn't work! so i had to go over to his place... and then somehow there was a problem also! and it was just getting too late. my dad gave me a call and then said he'll come and pick me up now. so i went on home.. and then through the night jason helped me to print my stuff.. and the next day went all the way to my school to pass it to me! so sweet right? haha. love him to bits! and i haven't seen him for sucha long time already. fancy meeting him halfway across the world! it's damn lucky pls. i saw on his msn nick that he was going to the gold coast. and just nice our trips coincided! so i arranged to meet him there! yayy! and i probably won't see him for at least a year or two! damn sad lah. i only realised how much i miss him until i saw him! zzz. and we only met up for like that few hours. and he was damn mean! kept suan-ing me in front of all my friends. asshole lah you.
anyways, after hard rock, we all walked back to the apartment before going to "the spit". it's apparantly a very good fishing spot and it was quite a nice view lah i suppose. only thing we went there at night and it was pitch black so there's really nothing much to see. but it kinda felt like SAFYC Changi/NSRCC. wasn't there for long until we left. dropped jason off at his apartments before heading back to ours.
DAY TWO ON THE COAST! (WEDNESDAY)
woke up early to watch the sun rise... like around 5am. actually i got woken up by daniel's sneezing. damn poor thing. the wind was blowing in quite strongly and it was quite chilly. and he has a sensitive nose. so he was sneezing nonstop lah! well then jolene was already up and outside on the balcony waiting for the sun to rise since 430am. haha. and she was shock to discover that we were awake when she stepped back in at around 5. we sat outside at around 5.20am to wait for the sun to rise.. but it somehow never did. haha. it was too cloudy.
after that we went back to sleep. the boys made breakfast for us before we headed out to the beach! YAYY! we had a lot of fun on the beach. the pictures will do the talking. thank god for my waterproof camera! captured all the fun moments. :) and i ALMOST lost it... it slipped off my fingers when a wave came in but thanks to vanessa, she spotted it and picked it up! thank you VAN! love you deep deep. heh.
after the beach, we got back and quickly got ready to leave for currumbin. we were going to have lunch at a lifesaver's supporters' club on currumbin beach next to elephant rock. the view there is just breath taking. you can see the whole strip of surfers' paradise and you can see the stateline of QLD and NSW on the other side. sadly, we couldn't climb the elephant rock because some construction was going on. I've been there before when i made a trip to the gold coast last year together with my uncle and family and their family friends. that's how i came to know about it. the 6 of us shared 1 plate of wedges and 3 seafood baskets. great feast!
after that we were supposed to go to the wildlife sanctuary at currumbin but then we fingured it wasn't worth it because it's way too late and it probably wouldn't beat going to the australia zoo. so we left and went to the billabong "warehouse". it wasn't quite a warehouse... just a big billabong store. found the rainbow slippers there and in my size! so happy! :D
then after that we went back to the apartments. jolene and vanessa went straight to cavill mall to start shopping but i stayed behind in the apartment with daisy and the boys. then vanessa called and asked me to come down to help her make a decision so i obliged and went down with daisy. and then we started hardcore shopping. haha. while we were in sportsgirl, the boys came to meet up. and the moment we got into cotton on, we just didn't get out till they were closing! how awesome was that! haha. then we bought bubble tea and then went to city beach for david to buy his shoes. after that we went back to the bubble tea place to have dinner at the king of noodles. dinner was superb. great asian food again. after that was back to the hotel and then we missed out on minus 5 bar. :( sad. let's please go there the next time we're there ok?
DAY 3
we all slept in this time and again, the boys made breakfast for us. jolene, daisy and daniel packed up and left earlier. then it was left with david, vanessa and me! packed up the place, got our bags and checked out! then we went to do some more shopping on cavill ave and the whole shopping strip! oh and had cold rock ice cream! perfect splurge. then it was back to the car and off to tambourine mountains!
did heaps of sightseeing and enduring the mountain roads... enjoying my ipod music and we drove along and soaking in the nature. it was extremely refreshing! i was glad i stayed on and went through it all. we stopped for some fudge at the granny macs store at the town centre on top of the mountain. we also went into this shop that had a lot of cuckoo clocks and grandfather clocks. damn interesting. then we had a picnic at the peak of the mountain which was a paragliding spot. and the view was phenomenal! loved every single bit of it. we had our subway sandwiches and took lots and lots of photos. the three of us were really exhausted by now but we were just refreshed by the sights and fresh air. we still took lots of photos and just enjoyed ourselves with less talking.
after that we drove to ikea to buy my table and pick up some stuff. then back to annerley to meet daniel to head back to my place for dinner. played around with the manual car for a bit before returning it enroute to my place. picked up some groceries at toowong's coles along the way and headed back to prepare dinner for all the starving people. related our stories to the rest of them and simply ended the trip there and then over dinner. ahh.. family dinner! haha.
had an early night last night... dozed off on the computer for a good two hours before getting woken up by all the msn messages then it was off to the toilet to wash up and back to bed to sleeeeeeep. so good to sleep for long hours. i felt so re-energised. hmmmm...
now it's back to the books! one paper next wed! I NEED TO WORK HARDER AND SMARTER! thanks guys for a great easter break! i love you all! the brisbane family! :D

Easter Break has been A BLAST so far.

Saturday night was off the Warren St! Pot Luck party at the ACS boys' place. they had tonnes of drinks and food that was simply delicious. I didn't drink much. Was simply people watching and soaking in the atmosphere. It was crazy how Raj downed 5 absinthe shots, 1 whiskey shot and a bottle of beer. It was total madness! Oh by the way, absinthe can hardly be found in Singapore and is a banned drink in many countries. try googling it. It tastes like crap and has the same alcohol percentage as bacardi 151. yup. so that makes it 70%. Raj was such a sport! really took my hat off to him!
Anyways, made some friends, talked for a bit and just lazed around. When people started puking, we left their place. The boys are really nice people though. Fun people who simply party too much, smoke too much and drink too much. haha. oh... and they don't listen to rnb. haha. they listen to trance, house, techno, electronica and stuff. :) different.
SUNDAY! EASTER SUNDAY!
Went to church in the morning with Jolene and Victor! :) Went early enough to get a seat. yup! there was only one mass that day so the church was quite packed. Then again, it isn't as packed as what you'd see in Singapore churches.
After church we went to pick Vanessa up and went to the valley for branch as some chinese grocery shopping. i had roast chicken, roast duck and chicken with noodles. yummy! it tasted really good. like authentic chinese food for once! oh and the chilli was quite power! haha. after that we went to yuen's to get our chinese groceries. then it was home sweet home. :)
at night, van and i went to la dolce vita at milton together with the warren brothers. it's a cafe with an eiffel tower erected in the centre of it. pretty cool place to chill out and hang out. the beverages are pretty awesome too! must go back there again. it was one emo session and just rotting at the cafe.
MONDAY!
daniel dropped david off to my place in the morning before he went to movie world with 4 other girls. hahaha. the thorn among the roses. i figured he got sick of hanging around the girls with his brother so he was ready to take on the challenge of having all 4 to himself! haha. well it's his law friend and her friends.
david and i were supposed to go to the uni library to study but then it was raining and there weren't available rooms in the library so we just decided to study at my place. after like 2-3 chapters of studying, i went to take 2 hours nap... before waking up abruptly and realising that i was supposed to cook lunch and david must have been starving (that boy knew how to eat cereal!) haha. so i cooked mee sua soup! perfect for a cold rainy day. ahhh. simply satisfying.
after that it was back to the books. until i just couldn't study anymore. so then it was switch on the computer and use use use. heh. then i started preparing dinner as well...
after dinner was supposed to study again but simply couldn't find the energy/mood to so just lazed around till daniel came back. haha. daisy, jolene, david and i were just lazing in my room and checking things out on the computer. until he came in... hahaha.
the boys stayed over that night because we were going to the coast early in the morning the next day so in order to make things easier, the stayed over. we didn't sleep till really late because we were just hanging out for a bit and some of us did some packing too. and then i was online talking to people and i only slept at like 3? =/
TUESDAY!
finally! the day has arrived for all six of us to venture to the coast! yummm... first things first. load all bags into the car and head towards the brisbane airport to collect our rental car. when we got to the airport, everyone got off except daniel because he was heading back to get vanessa and two of his friends. daniel would pick them up and head straight to harbourtown at biggera waters. daisy, jolene, david and i went to pick up the rental car. when we got to the airport, we realised that east coast car rental did not have a booth at the airport. so we checked with the information counter and they asked us to look up east coast car rental's number by the side on the information board. called them up and then they said they'll come and pick us up at the bus bay in 10 mins. so we walked to the bus bay to wait for them. they sent a bus to pick the four of us up. then it was off to nudgee where their office location and fleet of cars were.
did the paperwork and then collected the car! a manual hyundai getz was what we got. oh yeah. the whole fleet of cars that they have were WHITE! zzz. appears to be their coporate image. their office floor tiles were white. so were their walls and their uniforms! oh wells. none of my business.
after a big detour, we were finally on the roads and heading towards biggera waters! we were just slightly behind daniel's car and so we wasted no time in shopping at harbourtown. some of them did some massive shopping but i didn't quite shop that much. wasn't much for me to buy. weren't all too cheap i felt. heh. i still love shopping at the outlets in sacramento. =D
ohhh and the sushi roll at harbourtown is simpy the best. LOVE IT!
when we were done, we headed straight to pacific fair to have lunch and to continue to shopping. i felt pacific fair was a better place to shop but i didn't see much to buy as well. haha. BUDGET. :) then again, i have my trademark meal whenever i visit pacific fair. that had to be oporto's bondi burger! yummm.. i just feel the sauce tastes like chilli crab. absolute nostalgia. ahhh...
after the shopping at pacific fair, it was time for check-in at the apartment! we got the best sea view unit on the 11th floor! the view was simply SPECTACULAR and the unit was well furnished and well maintained. better than the one that jon and friends got. it was the same apartments.
we rested for a bit and did some unpacking, had a nice shower (most of us), dressed up and then it was dinner time at the hard rock cafe! awesome dawsome! it was a good 45min wait that was well worth it! the food was yummy, the company was great!
and then jason came and surprised me at the restaurant. i was supposed to meet him after but he came up to surprise me instead! yayy! i haven't seen him for so so so long. this godbrother of mine is really damn sweet. haha. back in sec 3 we had this social studies project to submit and as usual lah... last minute work. and then my printer just didn't work! so i had to go over to his place... and then somehow there was a problem also! and it was just getting too late. my dad gave me a call and then said he'll come and pick me up now. so i went on home.. and then through the night jason helped me to print my stuff.. and the next day went all the way to my school to pass it to me! so sweet right? haha. love him to bits! and i haven't seen him for sucha long time already. fancy meeting him halfway across the world! it's damn lucky pls. i saw on his msn nick that he was going to the gold coast. and just nice our trips coincided! so i arranged to meet him there! yayy! and i probably won't see him for at least a year or two! damn sad lah. i only realised how much i miss him until i saw him! zzz. and we only met up for like that few hours. and he was damn mean! kept suan-ing me in front of all my friends. asshole lah you.
anyways, after hard rock, we all walked back to the apartment before going to "the spit". it's apparantly a very good fishing spot and it was quite a nice view lah i suppose. only thing we went there at night and it was pitch black so there's really nothing much to see. but it kinda felt like SAFYC Changi/NSRCC. wasn't there for long until we left. dropped jason off at his apartments before heading back to ours.
DAY TWO ON THE COAST! (WEDNESDAY)
woke up early to watch the sun rise... like around 5am. actually i got woken up by daniel's sneezing. damn poor thing. the wind was blowing in quite strongly and it was quite chilly. and he has a sensitive nose. so he was sneezing nonstop lah! well then jolene was already up and outside on the balcony waiting for the sun to rise since 430am. haha. and she was shock to discover that we were awake when she stepped back in at around 5. we sat outside at around 5.20am to wait for the sun to rise.. but it somehow never did. haha. it was too cloudy.
after that we went back to sleep. the boys made breakfast for us before we headed out to the beach! YAYY! we had a lot of fun on the beach. the pictures will do the talking. thank god for my waterproof camera! captured all the fun moments. :) and i ALMOST lost it... it slipped off my fingers when a wave came in but thanks to vanessa, she spotted it and picked it up! thank you VAN! love you deep deep. heh.
after the beach, we got back and quickly got ready to leave for currumbin. we were going to have lunch at a lifesaver's supporters' club on currumbin beach next to elephant rock. the view there is just breath taking. you can see the whole strip of surfers' paradise and you can see the stateline of QLD and NSW on the other side. sadly, we couldn't climb the elephant rock because some construction was going on. I've been there before when i made a trip to the gold coast last year together with my uncle and family and their family friends. that's how i came to know about it. the 6 of us shared 1 plate of wedges and 3 seafood baskets. great feast!
after that we were supposed to go to the wildlife sanctuary at currumbin but then we fingured it wasn't worth it because it's way too late and it probably wouldn't beat going to the australia zoo. so we left and went to the billabong "warehouse". it wasn't quite a warehouse... just a big billabong store. found the rainbow slippers there and in my size! so happy! :D
then after that we went back to the apartments. jolene and vanessa went straight to cavill mall to start shopping but i stayed behind in the apartment with daisy and the boys. then vanessa called and asked me to come down to help her make a decision so i obliged and went down with daisy. and then we started hardcore shopping. haha. while we were in sportsgirl, the boys came to meet up. and the moment we got into cotton on, we just didn't get out till they were closing! how awesome was that! haha. then we bought bubble tea and then went to city beach for david to buy his shoes. after that we went back to the bubble tea place to have dinner at the king of noodles. dinner was superb. great asian food again. after that was back to the hotel and then we missed out on minus 5 bar. :( sad. let's please go there the next time we're there ok?
DAY 3
we all slept in this time and again, the boys made breakfast for us. jolene, daisy and daniel packed up and left earlier. then it was left with david, vanessa and me! packed up the place, got our bags and checked out! then we went to do some more shopping on cavill ave and the whole shopping strip! oh and had cold rock ice cream! perfect splurge. then it was back to the car and off to tambourine mountains!
did heaps of sightseeing and enduring the mountain roads... enjoying my ipod music and we drove along and soaking in the nature. it was extremely refreshing! i was glad i stayed on and went through it all. we stopped for some fudge at the granny macs store at the town centre on top of the mountain. we also went into this shop that had a lot of cuckoo clocks and grandfather clocks. damn interesting. then we had a picnic at the peak of the mountain which was a paragliding spot. and the view was phenomenal! loved every single bit of it. we had our subway sandwiches and took lots and lots of photos. the three of us were really exhausted by now but we were just refreshed by the sights and fresh air. we still took lots of photos and just enjoyed ourselves with less talking.
after that we drove to ikea to buy my table and pick up some stuff. then back to annerley to meet daniel to head back to my place for dinner. played around with the manual car for a bit before returning it enroute to my place. picked up some groceries at toowong's coles along the way and headed back to prepare dinner for all the starving people. related our stories to the rest of them and simply ended the trip there and then over dinner. ahh.. family dinner! haha.
had an early night last night... dozed off on the computer for a good two hours before getting woken up by all the msn messages then it was off to the toilet to wash up and back to bed to sleeeeeeep. so good to sleep for long hours. i felt so re-energised. hmmmm...
now it's back to the books! one paper next wed! I NEED TO WORK HARDER AND SMARTER! thanks guys for a great easter break! i love you all! the brisbane family! :D
